The Present Simple is used to communicate the idea that an action is repeated or usually done. (e.g. hobby, daily event, etc.) It can also be something a person often forgets or usually does not do. In contrast, the Past Simple is used to show that an action started and finished at a specific time in the past.

Present Simple Tense

In the grammar video several habits and routines are shown which are done in a repeated manner. Often, these things are done every day. Such actions are expressed with the use of the Present Simple Tense.

  • She goes to school.
  • She plays the violin.
  • She rides a horse.
  • She skips.
  • She cooks a dinner.
